We love to talk about all things tea. Tea has been the passion and love of our owner, Danielle Spinola for over 30 years.
Background: Danielle was never a coffee drinker and drank tea from a young age. In her teenage years she spent time learning about the healing properties of herbs through her love of reading and exploring. On a fateful trip to China, she was introduced to full leaf tea.
She left knowing tea and tea blending was what she wanted to do with her life. Danielle came back to Pittsburgh and started blending and selling at fairs and markets. Over the next few years she grew her business from a basement business to one that had physical locations in the Strip District, Allison Park, before landing in Millvale, her hometown.
One of the biggest perks to the tea shop in Millvale is being able to walk in and ask for teas and herbs to benefit you in some way. After being asked to do talks, Danielle realized this was a great opportunity to spread the word about tea and also have an outlet for all the useless knowledge in her head.
The following are examples of pricing and current workshops. If you have other topics you’d like to have Danielle speak on, please ask.
Speaker
You will receive a 30-45 minute presentation on the topic plus a 15 minute Q&A session. $250 plus the going rate for mileage from the tea shop to the location
Speaker Plus
You will receive a 30-45 minute presentation on the topic plus a 15 minute Q&A session. Each participant will receive a sample of a tea decided upon by the host and Danielle. $225 plus the going rate for mileage from the tea shop to location. Samples will be discounted by 10%/ person ($3.60)
Speaker and Tea Service
You will receive a 30-45 minute presentation on the topic plus a 15 minute Q&A session. Three teas will be chosen by the host and Danielle to serve to all of your guests. Danielle will talk about each tea served and answer any additional questions. The cost of this will be $200 plus the going rate for mileage from the tea shop to the location. Tea service will be $10/pp with a minimum of 15 people. For parties over 25 people, there will be an add on charge of $20/hour/staff member needed to serve tea. This will be discussed at the time of booking. Samples for participants can be added on for 25% off retail cost ($3).
Terms and conditions
As soon as the date is confirmed, 50% deposit will be required to hold the spot. This deposit is non refundable. The remainder of the balance is due 2 days prior to the event. If this is not paid or alternative payment arrangements are not made ahead of time, you will forfeit your deposit and no services will be rendered.
