Throat Chakra

The fifth chakra, located at the base of the throat, is the first of our spiritual chakras. The Throat Chakra is the center of communication, individuality, and self-expression and is all about speaking our inner-truth.

An unbalanced fifth chakra might come across as a sore throat, sinus infection, bleeding gums, TMJ, thyroid issues, or even those ever-present tight shoulders. To activate this spiritual chakra and get that creativity flowing again try yoga poses that stretch out the shoulder and neck, mediation paired with humming, or as every great singer knows, there’s nothing like hot tea and honey to treat your throat right. Speaking of singers, we highly recommend just finding your inner Beyonce, Taylor Swift, or Cher and belting it out!

You may have noticed that the Throat Chakra is always represented by a blue flower. This meant there could only be one base for this caffeine-free blend and that was the blue pea flower. We paired it with lemon thyme for its antiseptic and decongestant properties as well as light floral notes. The natural expectorant red clover and slippery elm bark, with it’s almost maple syrup sweetness and throat-coating properties, were natural additions.
