Apple Spice

What happens when you take dried organic apples and mix them with black tea and apple pie spices? Well we have blended this and it is bold and delicious.

Not only is this tea delicious as a tea but steep it in some local cider for chaider or add a bit of rum in it for an adult-y drink.

A spiced apple tea, reminiscent of an apple pie. Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Apples, Cloves are the primary flavors of this tea. It can also be used as mulling spices in your favorite cider or wine.

STORY BEHIND THE TEA: This blend came about as Danielle was playing around with fall flavors. She wanted to recreate pies in tea form. This experiment came prior to ordering big quantities of herbs. She needed nutmeg and lots of it. She reached out to a friend in the herb society to ask if she knew where to procure quantities of nutmeg (this was pre google). The friend was very concerned that Danielle was into something bad as nutmeg in large quantities apparently has some "effects" on people. After explaining she was making big quantities of tea, the friend loosened up a bit

Ingredients: ceylon, organically grown cinnamon, organically grown apples, organically grown clove, organically grown nutmeg, organically grown cardamom

Steep Temperature: 195° F

Steep Time: 2-4 minutes
