Purple Leaf Tea

Have you heard of purple tea? 

This comes from camellia sinensis that was cultivated primarily in Kenya from wild mutations in Yunnan China, this tea grows with a purple hue. This change from green leaves to purple creates a product that is high in anthocyanins, the same antioxidants found in blueberries and other dark hued plants. 

Woodsy with a hint of astringency that lingers at the end of the sip, this tea is one that will suprise your senses. While it doesn't really brew up purple, if you add a bit of lemon it will bring out a slight purple hue.
