Have you heard of purple tea?
Purple tea comes from camellia sinensis that was cultivated primarily in Kenya from wild mutations in Yunnan China, this tea grows with a purple hue. This change from green leaves to purple creates a product that is high in anthocyanins, the same antioxidants found in blueberries and other dark hued plants.
This oolong tea has been oxidized so it contains a smooth roasted flavor. It produces a beautiful amber color liquor with citrusy undertones.
